2 Fifth Avenue sits on the north side of Washington Square Park at West 8th Street. The building was completed for the builder Samual Rudin in 1951 after the designs by architects Emery Roth and Sons. Previous site addresses include 14-18 Washington Square North, 2-8 Fifth Avenue, 4-6 West 8th Street, and 17-18 MacDougal Alley.
2 Fifth Avenue is a 353-apartment building in two parts: the larger, twenty-story, glazed light brick structure to the north, and the connecting five-story red brick building to the south which was designed to keep scale with the adjoining townhouses on Washington Square Park.
Two Fifth's main entrance is via a semi-circular driveway located mid-block on Fifth Avenue -- from there, you can see the North & South towers.
